I went off to find the WU while Molly hung out at the park. I didn't realize that you had to walk close to 2 miles before High Street Kensington turned into Hammersmith. I kept on walking, was mad as fire and ready to turn around when I FINALLY found the stupid Western Union.
I took the tube back to school because I was in a hurry. I needed to get back to get ready for Pygmalion.
I was kind of weary of Pygmalion. I remembered reading it senior year and thinking it was okay but not great. Surprisingly, I really enjoyed it. The actors were very funny. Rupert Everett played Professor Higgins. It was very good. We also had wonderful seats. I would have taken a picture of the theater, but photography is not allowed.
After the play, Molly and I decided that we would take the bus back to school, I knew I had enough money on my oyster card this time. We waited at the stop for close to 25 minutes and in that time, we saw two of the buses that we needed stop at the stop right across the street. We decided to try our luck at that station, but as soon as we moved to that stop, the bus came to the one that we were at. We were so mad. Finally, we saw one coming towards a station across the street and ran to the stop to get on. It was so crazy. We have now learned that the bus that takes us to where we are staying is not very reliable. I think we will take the tube from now on. But London sure is beautiful at night.
I so enjoy reading about all of your adventures.Sure hope that some day you will be able to use all of this in your classroom when you start teaching.Personal experience can sometimes hold the interest of student much better.Love and miss you.
