Low day in London

Today was my first low day in London.  Not only am I really missing my family, friends, and boyfriend, today just wasn't very fun.

We had class as usual and then a group of us girls decided to go see the Victoria and Albert Museum. It was not at all what I expected.  I was expecting a museum actually about Victoria and Albert (obviously I didn't do any research about it). It was very similar to the Louvre. It had a lot of sculptures, paintings, and things like that.  There was a theater section and in it were many costumes from plays.

This is the effigy of Eleanor of Aquitaine, the wife of Louis VII and later, Henry II.  This made her the Queen of England and France. She was the mother of Richard the Lionheart.

The costumes from The Lion King.

An "outfit" worn by Mick Jagger.

After that, we came back to the school and had a little snack.  Next, we made our way to the ampitheater in Hyde Park where Bruno Mars, the Black Eyed Peas, and Tiny Tempah were playing.  We didn't pay for a ticket because you can sit outside of the gate and still hear it.  It's a public park so they can't ask you to leave.  We found us a spot on the grass and I eventually fell asleep.  It was so wonderful. I slept better on that ground than I have in my bed at Heythrop and there was no train to wake me up! We stayed for a little while and then we left because the Black Eyed Peas were not that good.

From Hyde Park we went to the Grey Hound, which is a little pub around the corner from Heythrop.  We had a couple of drinks, I only had a glass of wine.
